My first favorite band... The Who. VH1 had a tribute show for them the other night‚ and you can watch the full thing online. The lineup may not be what I would have put together‚ but what can you do. It's still cool.
Here's the opening tribute. God‚ that Roger Daltrey scream... it gets me every time! So badass‚ so rock 'n' roll. Long live (the two remaining members of) The Who!

There has never been a more truly exciting rock and roll band live than the original quartet that was the Who.
Pearl Jam did the most ambitious tribute of the night, sounding at once nothing and everything like The four-man Who at (nearly) their best.
P>S> Daltrey is a mere shadow of his former self, but that only suggests what a large shadow he casts in rock history (Robert Plant are you listening?)

Zing is right! The Who dumbed down the natural theatrics of their concerts when they began using laser lights. Like Pete said "Long Live Rock!...Rock Is Dead!"
